Discipleship: Sermon
The sermons at Drakes are pretty traditional in format, though they do not always have three points. Pastor Glenn likes to come down front and speak to us with only his Bible in hand. His sermons are typically 20-25 minutes and relies on the Holy Spirit to lead him, and to convict our hearts. We have been using the United Methodist Lectionary's Gospel passage for many years now and we find the Scripture continues to come alive even though we had studied this passage three years ago.
The sermon is followed with an altar call and a closing Hymn.
