Our Ministries: Nepal Orphanage
We were blessed in the past to be able to reach out to Nepal through some members of our church that are from Nepal and were going to schools here in Mississippi at the time. Krishnas and Sauree have a desire to change Nepal for the better and plan to return to Nepal once they both complete their Ph.D.'s. In the past, we have provided support to the orphanage through Krishna's mom and his sister's ministry We Women. I remember one Christmas, Krishna and Suaree were headed back to Nepal for a month and they were able to put their faith in action, show Christ’s love through Drakes and help provide for the least of these. They bought woolen caps and served them breakfast and lunch. They were very happy and over joyed about their gifts, since the orphanage does not have heat. They also encouraged them to get their education and told them that their lives will be a beautiful one.
The orphanage consists of about 20 boys and is a predominantly Hindu culture. Nepal is rated as one of the most expanding Christian communities in the world.
